Does it feel like we are all collectively holding our breath? Are you refreshing your news feed and forgetting to drink water?
The truth is, we've got work to do no matter what happens in the political circus. The work will be the same next week as it was last week. It's up to us to build a more just, equitable and nourishing world for each other, so let's get to it!
We've got a Super New Moon in Scorpio coming up on November 14th (15th if you are on the east coast of the US). It is a beautiful invitation to do some deep work and map out some goals for a new beginning. Join us for a free Community Circle Saturday, November 14th at 10am pst to move, meditate and cast our intentions on the deep waters of Scorpio. Please wear clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in. You are welcome to bring any yoga props you like to use as well as the following:
a small bowl of water
pen and paper
deck of tarot cards
any of the tangible values or character traits you may have written down from our last Community Circle
This practice is being offered for free, but you are welcome to donate to Fair Fight 2020, the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition or another organization working for free and fair elections if you are able.
Also, thanks for all your feedback around adding an evening community yoga class to our schedule! Beginning November 12th, we will have a new weekly class on Thursday nights at 6pm pst. This class will be slower paced than a vinyasa class with longer holds and more subtle cueing. This style of asana is often described as Hatha. We will also begin each class with a tarot pull for the group. Follow this link to sign up! As always, this class will be donation based and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Lastly, I've been doing some behind the scenes work and research on building pre-recorded offerings for you and am considering doing so via Patreon. These may include movement practices of various lengths, weekly tarot meditations for the group and more. I am always open to your ideas and suggestions! Be on the lookout for more info! Maybe in time for the holidays?
I am so grateful and honored to have you as community in these times that can feel so isolating. Keep showing up for each other and take good care of yourselves. Let's build on the work we've been doing on the mat and take it out into our world.
Love you!
Tabitha
